Application Operation Supporter with solid Weblogic server know-how wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.
Your tasks:
- Level 2 Support (incident and problem management,) of highly available web services and maintenance of software components
- Operation of test, integration and production infrastructures for web based services running on Sun Solaris, Red Head Linux and Windows based systems
- Planning and execution of application maintenance
- Support of the integration of new systems and products, including support for projects through all environments from test to production
- Quality assurance and acceptance tests of web applications frameworks as well as Root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable solutions
- Execution of disaster recovery (DR) tests in cooperation with application implementation teams
- On-call support (7x24h) in the Application Operations team and 1x per month 24/7 work required
Your experience/skills:
- Completed apprenticeship in Information Technology or other adequate education
- At least 5-8 years of professional experience in operating web applications on various platforms (Sun Solaris, Red Hat Linux, Windows) and WebLogic Servers
- Operational knowledge of state of the art web services (Oracle Weblogic and iPlanet, Microsoft IIS)
- Experience in system administration of UNIX environments, Know-How of Windows administration is an asset
- Practical knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change Management, including root cause analysis
- Banking experience and ITIL Know-How are a big plus
- Good understanding and/or experience in Systems Management Tools (eg BMC Patrol, ITSM, ServiceNow), Virtualization (LDOM/VMWare), UNIX Scripting and ITIL V3 are an advantage
- Languages: fluent English, German skills are an asset
