For our banking client based in Zurich we are currently looking for a
Web Developer Derivative Toolbox
Location: Zurich
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months
Languages: English and German
Developers work with traders, business analysts, and other developers to engineer low latency, high throughput trading systems.
They create and improve the libraries and frameworks upon which our trading applications are based, and develop new tools and services.
They interact directly with traders and strategists to capture business requirements and design innovative solutions.
Must Have:
- At least Bachelor degree in computer science or Software engineering or a related field
- Excellent knowledge base on JavaScript, HTML5, css3 is an absolute must
- Principles of Object Oriented programming, interfaces, abstractions, dependencies, etc.
- Experience in Test Driven Development.
- Messaging and JMS (Actve MQ) is a plus
- Good understanding of Unix Operating system and bash Scripting
Nice to have:
- Node.js knowledge is a plus
Soft skills:
- Positive and a can do attitude
- Self-motivator which is able to work with minimal direction
- Good code review skills, and pride in code quality
- Financial Services knowledge is ideal but not required
