A Swiss Private Bank is looking for a Web Developer. The small Derivative Toolbox Team sits at the intersection of financial strategy and technology; this requires them to hire the best talents and give them the tools and freedom they need to be successful. The vision is to create the standard intercompany trading platform and provide an environment where innovative and collaborative people thrive.
Tasks
• Work together with traders, business analysts, and other developers to engineer low latency, high throughput trading systems.
• Create and improve the libraries and frameworks upon which our trading applications are based, and develop new tools and services.
• Interact directly with traders and strategists to capture business requirements and design innovative solutions.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science/Software Engineering or equivalent education.
• Excellent knowledge base on JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 is an absolute must.
• Principles of Object Oriented programming, interfaces, abstractions, dependencies, etc.
• Experience in Test Driven Development.
• Good understanding of Unix Operating system and bash scripting.
• Messaging and JMS (Actve MQ) is a plus.
• Node.js knowledge is a plus.
• Financial Services knowledge is ideal but not required.
Soft skills
• Excellent English, written and spoken, German is an asset.
• A positive and a can do attitude.
• A self-motivator which is able to work with minimal direction.
• Good code review skills and ability to provide excellent code quality.
