Senior .NET/C#/SQL Middle Tier and DB developer
On behalf of our client, a leading global company within finance, we are looking for a Senior .NET/C#/SQL Middle Tier and DB developer. For this contract position based in Zürich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English and German speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible.

Your main responsibilities will be:
- Working independently and as part of a small team in an agile environment, under the guidance of the tech lead
- Developing components on a 3-tier architecture system, with focus on the Service Layer - middle tier - Database
- Enhancing existing functionalities and designing/implementing new features following coding best practices
- Taking part in extending the testing framework and maintaining/improving unit tests
- Understanding the business specifications, converting requirements into technical solutions
- Supporting the Production environment and the end-users
The skills and experience needed for this position are:
- Higher Education, such as Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
- Super track record in oriented programming, ideally with .NET/C#
- DB design, SQL, including SQL Server 2008 or above
- Strong knowledge in core C# 4.0 or above, LINQ, design patterns, multi-threading
- Experience with WCF, messaging/queue technologies
- Persistence Layer (preferably Entity Framework)
- Extensive experience with unit testing (eg NUnit) and mocking frameworks
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills, flexible on moving targets
- Good oral/written communication, positive and proactive team attitude
- Previous experience in the Finance/Insurance industries (ideally within Trading/Portfolio Management)
- Microsoft SSRS and/or SSIS
- A big plus is experience with Microsoft SSAS/Data Cubes
- Inversion of Control frameworks (eg Castle, Spring, )
- WPF/Silverlight/Windows Applications
- Performance Optimization/Troubleshooting
- Experience with VBA Script
- Good spoken and written English and German
