On behalf of our client, one of the most established financial institutions worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for a dynamic Senior C# .NET Developer with strong knowledge of Front End technologies to work on a cross border project in the trading and portfolio management domain.
This is a 12 month contract with a strong chance of extension based in Zurich, Switzerland.
Senior Frontend C# .NET Developer, Banking, English (12 month contract, Zurich)
An alternative investments fund manager located in Zurich is further building out the functionalities of its trading and analytics IT platform. To support the development team, the fund manager is looking for a motivated senior .NET/C# Front End developer with extensive in-house development experience of trading applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working independently and as part of a small team in an agile environment, under the guidance of the tech lead
- Developing components on a 3-tier architecture system, with focus on the UI - Front End
- Enhancing existing functionalities and designing/implementing new features following coding best practices
- Taking part in extending the testing framework and maintaining/improving unit tests
- Understanding the business specifications, converting requirements into technical solutions
- Supporting the Production Environment and the end-users
In order to be considered for this position, you will possess the following skills:
- 3-7 years C# development experience in the banking sector, ideally in a Front Office, trading or asset management domain
- Strong knowledge in core C# 4.0 or above, LINQ, design patterns, multi-threading
- Experience with WPF with MVVM pattern (candidates with extensive Silverlight would also be considered)
- Experience with WCF, messaging/queue technologies
- Extensive experience with unit testing (eg NUnit) and mocking frameworks
- Previous experience in the Finance/Insurance industries (ideally within Trading/Portfolio Management) desirable
- DB design, SQL, including SQL Server 2008 or above
- Persistence Layer (preferably Entity Framework) beneficial
- Inversion of Control frameworks (eg Castle, Spring, ) advantageous
- Prism and UI third party controls (preferably Infragistics) nice to have
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
