A Financial Services client of ours is looking to supplement their development team by hiring a permanent Java and Scala Developer. This candidate will be expected to work across a number of applications, both vendor and in-house. They will be expected to undertake work in both a BAU capacity, as well as on Greenfield projects.

Key responsibilities:

• You will be expected to be the key point of contact for all Front Office applications within the business.
• Understand business needs, define technical solutions and develop and support the In-House applications.
• Monitor the IT environments through dashboards, flag issues and take appropriate action to make fixes.

Key skills:

• A knowledge of Asset Management would be advantageous, but a background working within Financial Services is essential.
• Strong technical skills in Java 1.7+ Scala
• A knowledge of Application frameworks such as Spring is beneficial
• JVM, Serialization/Marshalling, Maven, SBT, Akka are also desirable
• English language skills a must, French a bonus
