For a project at our banking client site in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

Tester for a Trading / DWH Environment (3016)

The IT team works in the IB part of the bank doing Trading and Sales. There are 14 staff in the team and they are expanding.

This position requires:

A structured approach to testing on data oriented systems. The ability to plan for and coordinate testing resources (both technical and human) across multiple environments across geographically remote teams
Good communication skills to define and co-ordinate with other IT teams both on and off-shore
Has solid experience in working in an agile/scrum development teams
An appreciation of data security and client confidentiality concepts
Good Oracle and MS-SQL database skills. Ability to write complex SQL queries to assist in defect analysis and resolution
A good understanding of Data Warehousing principles including SCD historisation
A working knowledge of UNIX like environments, the ability to manipulate files and folders using command line tools such as vi, grep, more and the ability to transfer files using FTP
Understanding and experience of using an enterprise job control and scheduling system

Your qualifications:

+ 3 years Oracle PL/SQL experience or SQL-Server experience
Experience of working with JIRA for scrum tasks.
Ideally experience of SVN under windows (Tortoise) and UNIX for source code control
Business knowledge of basic financial instruments
Fluent in English
Unix Shell Scripting using KSH or bash and advanced parsing tools such as Sed and Awk
Some experience of Perl
Database query performance tuning under Oracle or SQL Server
Experience of the Control-M job control system
