Java EE Designer/Cloud Consultant. We are looking for a Cloud Consultant for our client in the financial services sector in Zurich.
Your tasks:
- Consult tech teams on migrating current application (mainly Java EE) to the new cloud application (WebSphere Liberty)
- Involve making the apps ready for migration ie design, suitability
- Assess the technical debt of solution design, architecture, and the implementation of business applications and infrastructure components.
- Provide Cloud migration support
- Deliver architectural blueprints and Best Practice documents. Produce and maintain a catalogue of solution blueprints, How-to documents and Knowledge
- Support all the assessment of business applications and infrastructure for Cloud Readiness.
- Identify the technical debt in architecture and implementation and propose changes to the owners of home grown or 3rd party solutions
- Support the migration of solutions to the Cloud and document the How To
Your experience/skills:
- Cloud (WebSphere Liberty) experience
- Java development background
- Ideally, you started your career as a software developer, gained exposure to developing complex Server Side applications using Java/JEE.
- Strong design and architectural principles combined with a good understanding of cloud based solutions.
- Ability to make connections between the big picture level and technical details to assess quality and identify risks
- Fluent in English
