PMO Manager - CIT, Transformation, Strategy, Reporting

ROLE PURPOSE
* The Project Management Office Manager is accountable to provide program tracking and coordination across Commercial IT Transformation and act as the source of documentation, guidance and metrics on the practice of program management and execution.
* The role has to conduct systematic and thorough tracking of project plan adherence and of resource availability. The Project Management Office Manager facilitates program on- and off-boarding within the Transformation scope and runs pro-active, consistent program risk and financial management.
* This role oversees the consistent application of best practices and is responsible for providing consultation and process guidance to our transformation programs.
* The Project Management Office Manager acts as enabler for program teams to execute programs most efficiently and derives learnings to be applied in the continuous improvement of processes and tools in collaboration with the Transformation Enablement Office.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Accountability areas

Program methodologies
* Assists and advises leaders, managers, and teams to the best use of program and project management approaches and standards within a dynamic business environment.
* Acts as a reference point for PMO queries and information and as advocate for best practices for processes in scope for all transformation programs.
* Ensures consistent documentation of best practices for processes in scope in collaboration with the Transformation Enablement Office and facilitates related education of program managers and program teams.

Consistent program management support
* Develops positive relationships with program managers to support the successful delivery of programs through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting.

Project Management Office Managers in the Transformation Office are assigned to lead a subset of the following tasks across all programs:
* Oversees monitoring of value generation and financial tracking in collaboration with the Head of Benefits Realization and Productivity
* Maintains overall resource plan for all programs
* Ensures program execution meets or exceeds internal and external quality standards.
* Assists program managers with establishing stakeholder management plan and implementation of a communication plans.
* Maintains overall program risk register and tracks risk mitigation activities
* Pro-actively manages integration of running programs and projects in close collaboration with other Commercial IT functions
* Provides central scope and change management capabilities

Continuous improvement
* Supports the continuous improvement of applied processes and tools in collaboration with the Transformation Enablement Office.
* Builds relationships with stakeholders and program teams at all levels to permanently collect feedback about applied processes and tools in collaboration with the Transformation Enablement Office.
* Shares lessons learned and best practices across programs for assigned processes
* Supports implementation of knowledge management approach to establish library of program management expertise (templates, role definitions, best practice samples)

Decision making

* Leads program management process implementation and decides on adjustments required based on specific program needs
* Provide supervision of internal and external contributors to assigned project management processes

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
* University degree in Information Technology and/or relevant business domain
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a proven track record in project and program management
* 5+ years of proven leadership experience in global Matrix organization with cultural diversity
* The role requires excellent project management skills and the ability to define and implement processes
* Performance driven, problem-solver and results oriented
* Excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal skills
* Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines in a changing environment
* Certification in Project and Program Management preferred
* Languages: Fluent English written and spoken
