For a project at our client, an international bank based in Zürich, we are looking for aSybase Database Administrator (2911)
We are looking for candidates with strong experience in Sybase Database (min. 5 years) and at least 3-5 years production support experience.
Must have
Professional DBA of Sybase 15
Experience as a Sybase Infrastructure DBA, ideally within the financial sector
Good knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems with VERITAS clustering and volume manager
Knowledge of installing and configuring Sybase Servers
Good Sybase and basic scripting language knowledge
English skills
Good communication skills
Willing to do On-Call work
Nice to have
Experience with MS SQL
Experience with Oracle RDBMS
skills and experience in DB Tuning/Optimization
SAN/NAS Storage
Virtualization Skills (VM-Ware)
German skills
The ideal candidate would be a good team player with a lot of drive who is able to work on multiple tasks under pressure.
