For our banking client based in Lausanne we are currently looking for a

  • Axiom Developer Junior role
  • Regulatory Reporting Systems Business Analyst/Developer

Business Description:

The position is within the Lausanne IT Business centre based in EPFL. A newly created team has been setup in the centre to help support the global use and expansion of a Business tool used by the bank to report regulatory disclosures worldwide.

The Regulatory tool is a high profile system used by the bank to provide financial information to many regulatory bodies in Switzerland (FINMA), the UK (Bank of England, Prudential Regulatory Authority), Ireland (Central Bank of Ireland), US (Federal Reserve System, Securities and Exchange Commission), Singapore (Monetary Authority of Singapore) plus local regulators in countries such as South Korea, Australia, India, Japan, Indonesia and Taiwan.

The regulators request many different types of financial information such as Capital Adequacy (Credit, Market and Op Risk), Liquidity Ratios, Asset Encumbrance, Leverage Ratio, Large Exposures etc .

All of which need to be created using the regulatory tool and submitted on time and in full at different time cycles (Daily, Weekly, Monthly etc .)

The process is of vital importance to the bank as its failure to comply would have a very serious reputational risk to the bank and penalties.

Reason for Recruitment: To join a newly created implementation team that will be responsible for the maintenance and expansion of the tool globally.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Tool Support - Assisting Business users with queries relating to the Tools output.
  • Data Analysis - Comparing new calculation results with Legacy sets.
  • Development - Using the Business requirements to assist in the tools development for new regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail.

Experience:

  • Experience with SQL
  • Understanding of Financial Products and Banking.
  • Understanding of Financial Regulations
  • Degree Qualification
