Java Developer

We are looking to find a responsible and open minded candidate who adds value to our client's IT team. Our client is an international Swiss Bank.

Summary:

A position as a Java Developer for the tools area (J2EE web applications) in the Data Warehouse environment.

As Java Developer you are implementing moderately complex requirements in existing web applications with JAVA (SE6 and 7) to cover business requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of moderately complex components and contribution to technical analysis, design and Help analyse requirements and partially act as solution architect.
  • Write and review technical specifications for the assigned web application.
  • Analyse impact of software changes.
  • Conduct unit, system, performance and integration testing.
  • Contribute to technical standards and procedures.
  • Document components and interactions between them.
  • Perform 3rd Level Support.

Technical or other Skills:

Must Have:

  • High level of expertise with Java SE6/7
  • Experience in developing web applications (eg with JSF (Java Server Faces)
  • Knowledge of Advanced Object Oriented approach
  • Good knowledge of EJB 3.0
  • Good knowledge of JPA/JDBC

Nice Haves:

  • Good knowledge of JUnit
  • Good knowledge of JAXB
  • Good knowledge of Oracle
  • Good knowledge of PL/SQL
  • MQ
  • Eclipse
  • Power Designer

Language:

  • German OR English

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
  • 5-7 years experience required.
