Senior Oracle and ETL Developer

Short Project description:
We serve the Private Banking unit of your client with Business Intelligence Solutions and Sales tools for the PB salesforce (6000 RM's). The BI&S (Business Information & Systems) Applications team provides IT services as maintenance, enhancement and development for BI&S applications in terms of standard reporting and BI solutions. The BI2 application is a key strategic project providing Standard Reporting and Self Service BI capabilities to the business. Standard Reporting covers a number of different business areas including Client Reporting, Product Reporting and Performance Reporting. Self Service BI provides a framework and environment of tools and capabilities for business users to develop adhoc solutions according to demand from end users including regulatory and compliance departments. Microsoft BI tools are used extensively in our projects with Oracle used as the primary database.
Scope of Work: PL/SQL and ETL development with PowerCenter
Required professional skills:
Focus is on Oracle database development and optimisation, including coding in SQL and PL/SQL. A great plus is additional knowledge in PowerCenter to configure and develop ETL processes.
Oracle Developer will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing new features and change requests in Oracle databases
- Monitoring database performance and tuning SQL queries
- Identifying and resolving scalability issues
- Developing and amending stored procedures
- Writing PL/SQL code to implement business logic
- Configure and code in PowerCenter Jobs, Jobrelations and ETL processes
- Maintain and enhance complex ETL processes written in PowerCenter and PL/SQL
- He/she will also provide subject matter expertise and level 3 support to ensure the smooth running of systems and quickrecovery from outages/downtime.
- Ensure timely delivery of requirements in line with project milestones.
- Report regular progress to the Project Manager
You Offer
Essential
- Proven track record in Datamodelling, delivering Oracle based solutions - SQL queries, PL/SQL code
- Expertise in ETL processes design and implementation, data life cycle management, preferable with PowerCenter
- Good written and oral communication skills in English, German is a Plus.
- Ability to work at a fast pace in a team and adapt style to ensure the project is successful.
- Self motivated person who can proactively engage with peers and clients to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Desirable
- Understanding of financial products
- Profound experiences with Data Warehouses and BI
- Experience of working on large projects/large and complex systems.
- Proficient in the use of the following: jira, MS Visio, MS Word, MS Excel
- Some formal training and/or certifications in developing/architecting solutions on Oracle platform
- Knowledge of Datamodelling standards
