ETL Database Developer SQL - Switzerland.
A major international bank based in Lausanne, our client is currently looking for a ETL Database Developer with experience of SQL and Oracle DBMS to be part of a Basel III compliance reporting project.
With proven ETL experience and proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as T-SQL, PL/SQL, DTS and SQL Loader. you will be required to validate and implement the functional specifications and technical design of Basel III compliance reporting.
You will be required to participate in all stages of the development life cycle using standards, architectures and processes to ensure that code development practices conform to company guidelines. Experience of Informatica Designer is required. You will also create technical specifications and implement diverse interfaces and ETL processes to and from other systems within the datawarehouse.
As such, datawarehousing experience is essential with strong knowledge of Oracle DBMS. UNIX Shell Scripting is also required.
As this is a banking project, previous experience of working in and IT environment with rigorous change and control procedures is expected.
Ideally, you will come from a banking background with Basel II, Basel III or Financial Accounting experience. Business Object or OBIEE experience is also highly desirable as is Oracle 11g and Java development experience. It will also be an advantage to have experience of the design and implementation of PL/SQL, Control-M job scheduling or Oracle-based reporting solutions.
Fluent in English and (ideally) German, you will run acceptance tests with the Business and hand over to datawarehouse operations and other support teams, including providing 3rd level support. This is also in collaboration with teams in Zurich and the USA.
