Java Developer - Backend wanted for our Zurich based client in the financial sector.
Your experience/skills:
- Prior experience as a Java Backend developer in test driven development with JUnit and mocking libraries, ideally in financial industries
- Good knowledge of principles for Object Oriented programming, interfaces, abstractions and dependencies coupled with good code review skills and pride in code quality
- Proficiency in Core Java and related utilities and libraries, particularly collections, Multithreading in Java.util.concurrent.* package, JSON, JDBC and Maven
- Strong background in Spring framework, JDBC templates, JPA Messaging, JMS and relational database modelling
- Know-how of Hazelcast, Elasticsearch, ActiveMQ, UNIX and bash Scripting are beneficial
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German is a plus
Your tasks:
- Maintaining the current trading platform, working in an agile environment
- Improving and creating new libraries and frameworks
- Building, testing and deploying new tools, services and product features
- Communicating and liaising with key business and IT stakeholders
- Ensuring a continuously drive and improvement of the system
