DevOps Engineer (80-100%) - Automation/Bern
Description:
For one of our client we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to develop IT services and IT operations. Become part of Center of Competence for Product Management & Automation. To reinforce development teams we are looking for talented and motivated employees.
Responsibilities:
- Experience in Requirement engineering
- Design and implementation of Use Cases (UC) for automated IT provisioning
- Automation of IT operation tasks
- Cooperation with System Engineering and ICT Architects
- Specification and implementation of methods for controlling peripheral systems via REST and SOAP APIs
- QA Testing - Bug fixing and maintenance of existing automation UC
- Responsible for the operation of the automation accuracies
Requirements:
- Experience in web- or database-supported development
- Derivation of business requirements in requirements (requirement engineering)
- SQL and experience in relational data model design
- Programming experience in a language such as Ruby, Python or Java with software design skills
- Familiarity with script languages such as Shell Scripting/Power Shell, PHP or Perl
- Knowledge of APIs, RESTful services and how they can be used for integration solution
- Experience in Agile/Scrum Framework/Methods
- Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset including Jira and Confluence or similar tools
- Experience with automation and CI/CD tools
- Familiar with Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments
- Experience in Scripting with Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible or similar products
- Experience with version control software, especially Git and SVN
Education:
- Bachelor or master's Degree in the field of in computer science, computer or electrical engineering, mathematics or equivalent qualification
Languages:
- English - fluent written/spoken
- German - fluent written/spoken
