Leading Swiss client is looking for an experienced LAVAREL specialist to join their team for an initial 3 month contract based in Geneva.

Project Scope
The main elements in the perimeter of the project are:

Analysis of the requirements with ITSD and Conference Office (AAGSD) staff

Design and implementation of the eMeeting web application comprising all needed functionalities which are today del ivered by the current solution, among which some of the important functionalities are:

  • Ability to define meeting rooms, and their characteristics
  • Ability to create a meeting
  • Indicating the type of meeting among a predefined list
  • Selecting the title among a list or defining a new title for the meeting
  • Defining the chairperson of the meeting
  • Associating a location/room to the meeting
  • Defining the start/end date/time
  • Defining the meeting as being recursive/repetitive
  • Binding it to another meeting
  • Splitting the meeting in parts if required
  • Adding some comments, actions
  • Indicating if the meeting needs to be displayed on electronic board
  • Ability to have some reports
  • Improvements to the current solution by: cleaning and simplifying unneeded details, read/write dedicated interfaces for specific roles like technicians and admin assistants
  • Data migration from the Legacy system
  • Rework of the interfaces between eMeeting and other applications like Documents for Meetings, DMS Interpreters, DOL, EBB
  • Technical Documentation
  • Deployment procedure

Out of Scope

  • Replacement of third - party applications interacting with DMS Conference (Docs for Meeting, DMS Interpreters, DOL, EBB,
  • Ability for Divisions and Members States to request meeting online - However, the solution will be designed and built in such a way that it will be easy to add such functionalities

Deliverables

In this Project mandate, the consultant is expected to deliver the following work:

  • A user friendly electronic application providing all requested functionalities in the paragraphs "V. Project Scope"
  • Unit testing by the Consultant before passing any new changes to users for testing and validation. Before the UAT testing, the consultant is expected to test all functionalities of the electronic solution and fix the bugs before passing the website to users for their testing and validation.
  • All bugs need to be fixed and all issues resolved after each testing cycle with users from Conference Office, IERD and LDIMD the ITSD project manager.

The Acceptance Criteria will be based on the following:

  • Work carried out and website functionality delivered in line with functional requirements and work schedule agreed with ITSD project manager.
  • User Acceptance Testing signed off by ITSD project manager and Conference office staff (AGSD).
  • Technical documentation
  • Deployment procedure

Monitoring and control

  • The consultant will mainly work with the Applications Solutions Management 3 (AASM3) section of the Information Technology Solutions Division (ITSD) and business clients from Conference Office (AGSD). The ASM3 section from ITSD will lead and coordinate the work in the project. The project will be managed by ASM3 section and the consultant will report to the IT Project Manager from the ASM3 section of ITSD.
  • The consultant will need to collaborate very closely with the ITSD Project Manager and any other ITSD staff and clients from AGSD on design, development or architecture decisions and other implementation choices. Justifying and explaining is considered an integral part of the contract. The final deliverables must be the result of collaboration with the consultant and must not be developed in isolation.
  • All communication with UNICC staff related to the deployment of the electronic application has to go through the IT Project Manager from ITSD.
