For a global client based here in Zurich we are searching for a SQL Server Developer with C# .NET and BI to join the team.
Overview of business area or project:
An alternative investments fund manager located in Zurich is further building out the functionalities of its trading and analytics IT platform. To support the development team, the fund manager is looking for a motivated senior .NET/C# developer with extensive in-house development experience of trading applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working independently and as part of a small team in an agile environment, under the guidance of the tech lead Developing components on a Microsoft 3-tier architecture system, with particular focus on the UI tier
- Enhancing existing functionalities and designing/implementing new features following coding best practices
- Taking part in extending the testing framework and maintaining/improving unit tests
- Understanding the business specifications, converting requirements into technical solutions
- Supporting the Production Environment and the end-users
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Good DB design and strong T-SQL including SQL Server 2008 or above
- Some experience with .NET C# 4.5 or above
- Some experience with SQL Server BI tools including SSRS
- Test driven development
- Good oral/written communication, positive and proactive team attitude
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills, flexible on moving targets
- Good spoken and written English
This is a long term contract and you could be there two years with the possibility of going permanent.
