For a project at our client‘s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experiencedData Scientist - R / Python / Big Data / Machine Learning (5115)
The ideal candidate will be helping on the "Evolution of Quant Investing", a joint project between two areas within our client's organization. The scope of the project is to extend the current quantitative investment model for equities with new factors, obtained through novel data sources, and to assess whether such additional factors/data sources can improve its effectiveness.
Your Qualifications:
- Enough seniority and experience to lead the project from the data science perspective
- Strong Big / Alternative Data and quantitative portfolio experience
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, Java is required
- Machine learning knowledge (NLP, Anomaly Detection, Time Series Analysis, Customer Segmentation, Deep learning etc.) is mandatory
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Javascript, Perl is a nice to have
- Specific experience in big data/machine learning projects especially in asset management is a plus
- Experience with sample (big) data sets from related fields
- Experience with Spark, Hadoop, or other distributed frameworks is highly appreciated
- Curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently, as well as in a team
- Fluent in English
