On behalf of our client, a financial Institute based in Bellinzona, we are looking for an C++ Developer/Supporter. For this 12 months contract position (with extension possibilities) our client is looking for an English speaking candidate.

You will be part of the Investment Banks Global Credit Risk Monitoring System. Its primary functions are the calculation of counterparty portfolio credit risk exposure measures and excess monitoring and reporting tools. This System is used by over 6000 users from Front to Back Office.
Your Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of a Development Manager, work directly with allocated Project managers, Business Analysts and external IT and business teams to perform technical analysis of the existing system.
- Provide Support for the existing system
- Take responsibility for changes that go through multiple tiers from the Java application through to the Back End databases
- Write Server Side code to implement business logic
- Write and amend stored procedures in the Sybase/SQL Server databases
- Utilize standards, architectures, and processes to ensure that all code and development practices conform to company guidelines and industry best practices
- Participate in all aspects of the project life cycle
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in developing using: C++
- Proven experience with UNIX (Solaris), and a major RDBMS
- Proven experience with Perl
- Sybase ASE (15) experience (highly desired)
- Strong IT commercial experience
- Experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle
- A solid understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and experience working in an IT environment with rigorous change control procedures
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Track record of delivering to specification and to deadlines
