Next Ventures currently require a Hybris Architect for a large scale Hybris project in Zurich.
You will be responsible for understanding the customer's business strategy and defining the systems and architecture of key components to support the overall strategy. Working closely with client teams across technical and functional roles to understand requirements and make project decisions in line with those requirements. Delegate tasks and provide leadership and guidance to the joint development teams.
Project: Existing B2B, B2C Consumer goods platform
Duration: 12 month contract (possibility of extension)
Start: ASAP/September 2017

Your responsibilities:
- Lead technical discovery sessions with the client to develop a comprehensive understanding of the technical requirements and integrations interfaces for new commerce solutions.
- Develop and document technical solution designs and specifications that satisfy the functional and technical requirements for commerce implementation projects.
- Assess technical options for each solution component and integrations in a commerce implementation project; evaluate possible technologies and packages; make and defend technology and package recommendations.
- Decompose technical solution specifications into work packages; document pre-requisites and dependencies for the work packages; and estimate the level of effort and resource level/skill necessary to implement each work package.
- Lead data modelling activities necessary for commerce solutions including products, catalogs, storefronts, customers, orders and more.
- Develop technical proofs of concept, as necessary, to validate proposed solutions designs, reduce technical risk and minimize level of effort uncertainty.
- Establish coding and unit test standards, source control repository, build management system and release strategy for the technical delivery team on commerce implementation projects.
- Provide expertise on the functional and technical use of hybris, its various administrative cockpits and the B2B and B2C accelerators.
- Accountable for the suitability of the delivered technical solution architecture to address client functional and technical requirements. Champions accountability by example.
Experience required:
- experience in architecting and implementing successful eCommerce projects based on hybris experience with Java, J2EE and Spring
- eCommerce platforms (hybris, Oracle ATG, IBM WebSphere, etc.)
- Integration experience with complex systems
- Experience integrating with SAP
- Ability to evaluate technical alternatives considering business needs, technology fit, cost/benefit, security, disaster recovery and department strategies
- Ability to deliver on commitments (high quality, on budget, on time) while working on multiple projects concurrently
