For our banking client we are currently looking for a
Core Java and Oracle PL/SQL developer
Start date: 14.08.2017
End date: 13.02.2018
Location: Zurich
We're seeking technology and domain leaders to join a development team within Risk IT.
Your tasks:
- Implement and deliver high quality software solutions/components for the Risk platform that conform to architectural standards.
- Leverage his/her expertise to mentor and lead developers; review code/designs and ensure adherence to standards.
- Manage and 'own' significant development tasks end-to-end.
- Demonstrate superior collaboration skills in working closely with other development, testing and implementation teams to roll-out important regulatory and business improvement programs.
The ideal candidate shall bring:
- Degree level qualification.
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience using core Java and Oracle PL/SQL.
- JDBC (Java Database Connectivity) experience
- Experience in holding a senior technical role within a team of technocrats; especially for high-performance, large-scale systems through various project life cycle stages like design, build, testing etc.
- Excellent understanding of Object Oriented Design, database design and development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work as part of a global team.
- Understanding of complex models.
- A good knowledge of UNIX and Shell Scripting (added advantage).
- A good knowledge of Financial Services domain - ideally (Credit) Risk (added advantage).
