Key Responsibilities
The developer must be able to read and interpret technical requirements and architecture designs and be able to turn these into a solution implementation.
Overview of the department/team:
The department has approximately 20 team members who are distributed in various locations across the globe. The Business Project Manager and Project Domain Lead are located in Zürich.
The project team will be approximately 4 strong and consist of a Business Analyst, Solution Architect and 2 Developers.
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience with developing with JAP (the internal Java Application Platform) which includes a solid understanding of the JAP Tool-chain
- Long-term experience with Back End and Front End programming in Java, including J2EE technologies (preferably Weblogic)
- Long term experience with web technologies such as web services, REST, XML, HTML, OO and MQ
- Highly experienced with UML, design patterns and Datamodelling
- A good knowledge of database technologies (preferably Oracle)
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Software distribution/deployment, like SPUDs and SDSS
- Good knowledge of Linux operating system
- Network security devices (eg Firewalls, proxies, load-balancers, etc.)
- Knowledge of development and project management methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, continuous integration, Test-driven development
- Passionate about automating integration testing
