Senior Java Developer/Offshore coordinator
On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer with recent and strong offshore coordination experience. For this contract position based in Zurich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible.

Role:
- Off-Shore coordination
- Integration of implemented Work-Packages into application
- 2nd/3rd level Support for several applications
- Implementation of the application components using Java SE and Java EE
- Support Analysis and Design of the application architecture and its components
- Ensure expected code quality
- Bug fixing and deployments
- Participation in integration and user acceptance testing
- Ensure that common standards, processes and tools are adopted across all deliverables
- Ensure the creation of adequate documentation
- High dedication to quality of his/her deliverables
Skills:
- +7 years of Java development
- Some years of Oracle 10/11g experience working on an Oracle platform
- + 7 years of SQL experience
- Off Shore Coordination is a must (must have excellent communication skills)
- Java development with Eclipse under Windows for a Unix target system
- JSF, EJB, Spring-Batch and exposure to MQ and Web services
- SVN experience
- Knowledge and effective use of Maven and Ant
- Bachelor/Master Degree, equal education or qualifying experience in Information Technology
- Expert in Software Engineering and Software Design
- Expert communication skills
- Leadership and People Management skills is a must
Nice to have:
- Oracle Business Intelligence experience as a plus
- Willingness to work in an agile project model
- Team City and Jenkins experience would a big plus
- Basic Banking know how
