Our client, one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies based in Basel, is looking for a Data Modeler with hands on experience in Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL, as well as extensive background in data modelling and data warehousing.
This is a contracting role planned to start in May until the end of the year.

Project Background:
During this project you will create a centralized IT system framework to automatically acquire, analyze, and report on global manufacturing data for improved compliance with process and product monitoring.
Tasks:
- Design stable, reliable and effective meta models across multiple different manufacturing data sources
- Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices
- Gather user requirements and identify new features
Ideal Profile:
- 5 to 7 years of experience working as a Data Modeler or Data Architect with hands on experience in Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL plus extensive background in data modelling and data warehousing
- Understanding of star/snowflake schemas, indexing, aggregate tables, dimension tables, constraints, keys, and fact tables required
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Understand the data requirements for the project and drive the solution based on the information needs
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- EII (JBOSS DV/TEIID) experience will be a big asset
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
- The German language will be an advantage
