Application Manager

Our client is respected Private Bank located in Zurich.
We are looking for a contractor/consultant to join a long-term project to manage the development of the bank's internal rule engine.
Start date is ASAP.
The assignment is planned to run until the end of April 2019 with optional prolongation.
Tasks
- Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage complex projects with significant bottom line impact on the bank's rule engine
- Work with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities for the PB line of business that helps them succeed in their business goals
- Work closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development
- Instil best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
- No hands on development
Requirements
- Background as Senior Developer/Development Manager
- High degree of familiarity with projects in a global context (multiple locations, cross-cultural teams)
- Knowledge of Build Tools (Jenkins) and Deployment Tools (Nexus)
- Banking knowledge (Advisory, Portfolio Management, Trading)
- Strong mathematical and organisational skills
- Good communication, presentation skills and MS Office skills
- Well-structured and proactive mind-set to work in a challenging environment to meet deadlines
- Fluency in English and German (written & spoken)
