For our banking client in Ticino, we are looking for a Java developer - Full cycle development, Front Office focus and Support part
Start: ASAP
Duration: 12 months
Location: Giubiasco, Ticino, Switzerland
In this project you will be working around Credit Approvals, Rating management systems, Credit Risk Reporting topics.
You will provide support for the existing systems, take responsibility for changes that go through multiple tiers from the Java application through to the Back End databases, write Server Side code, amend stored procedures...
To succeed in this role, the following skills and experiences are requested:
* A core Java developer with 4+ years' experience
* Experience with common Java frameworks eg Spring, Struts
* Solid Front End web development
* Knowledge and understanding of current best practices in Java development
* Demonstrable experience of good OO design and programming
* Minimum of 3 years' experience of application Servers esp. Oracle WebLogic
* Good solid DB experience
* Experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle
* A solid understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and experience working in an IT environment with rigorous change control procedures
* Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills
* Understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and ideally experience working in an IT environment with change control procedures
* Willingness to provide application support to Front Office and Risk Management business clients as well as non-Swiss-based team members
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
* Awareness of test-driven development and design
* Experience of working in a continuous integration environment
* Datamodelling experience
* Sybase ASE (15) experience
* SQL Server 2008 experience
* Risk management experience or knowledge is plus
