Java Developer - Credit Risk wanted for our Bellinzona based client in the banking sector.
Your experience/skills:
- 7+ years of working experience in core Java development, 5+ years of database experience, specifically Sybase and 5+ years of experience with common Java frameworks, eg Spring
- Good knowledge of UNIX (Linux/AIX/Solaris) as well as of current best practices in Java development
- Business knowledge of Credit Risk as well as of financial products, specifically FX and OTC derivatives products
- Strong background in OO design and programming, understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and ideally experience working in an IT environment with change control procedures
- Experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle as well as with mentoring of developers in different locations
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Working directly with allocated Project Managers, Business Analysts, external IT and business teams to perform technical analysis of the existing system, implementing change requests and new features
- Providing support for the existing systems as well as taking responsibility for changes that go through multiple tiers from the Java application through to the Back End databases
- Writing server - side code to implement business logic as well as writing and amending stored procedures in the Sybase/SQL Server databases
- Utilizing standards, architectures, and processes to ensure that all code and development practices conform to company guidelines and industry best practices
- Participating in all aspects of the project life cycle, following stringent rules and procedures for testing and promoting code in compliance with company change control processes
