German speaking Java Developer/Solution Architect (banking)
On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a German speaking Java Developer with affinity for the solution architecture. For this contract position based in Zurich in Switzerland our client is looking for a German & English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. Context of the role:
- The client is building a new global platform to improve the sophistication of advice to ensure an efficient delivery to the clients. This will include the integration of new risk calculation engine and implementing a new portfolio monitoring and optimization.
Role:
- Responsible for development, unit testing, integration, deployment and documentation as well as design of the new Java based Platform and Components
- Code reviews
- Collaboration with IT-Architecture and Business representatives
- Analysis of change requests and impact analysis
- Stakeholder communication
- Task estimation, prioritization, tracking, break-down
- Support project leader with technical expertise for required project documents
- Experience working in agile development teams
Skills:
- Over 7 years of experience in Java Development
- Some solution architecture experience
- Expert know-how JEE6 (and JEE7), Java 8
- Experience with eclipse, JUnit, Maven, Git, UML, XML JAX-RS, JSP, Java Servlets
- JSF 2.1, NodeJS, Primefaces
- EJB3, JNDI
- Hibernate JPA, JDBC, JTA
- Messaging via WebSphere MQ
- Experience with Application Server (JBOSS)
- Good SQL know-how (Ability to understand and write complex SQL)
- Experience with performance tuning
- Oracle experience, MS SQL Server skills are a plus
- ShellScript (bash)
- Experience with UC4 is a plus
- Linux/Unix Experience
- Banking environment
- Highly desirable: experience with portfolio management, advisory processes, portfolio and Product risk calculation
