Hadoop/Big Data Specialist

For our client, a global banking company in Zurich, we are looking for

for a 12-month assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering of data pipelines (primarily batch, increasingly intra-day/near-Real Time)
• Integration and evaluation of new big data and data science technologies
• Development of platform components
• Consultation to application groups on how best to utilise the platform and technologies
• Engagement with groups for PoCs and full platform on-boarding

Key skills:

- Configuration Management (Saltstack, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.)

- Strong UNIX skills (Redhat preferred)

- Strong Python/Java/Scala programming

- Hadoop Experience

- Working knowledge of security concepts (as they relate to Hadoop)

- Detailed knowledge of Hadoop and related technologies
