For our client, a global Banking company in Zurich we are currently looking for
Cloud Engineerfor a 12-month project in Zurich.
Key Responsibilities
- A challenging, technical position in Platform Integration as a Unix SME. The team acts as central entry window for the infrastructure hosting teams to collect requirements and requests.
- We test and certify all compute & storage standard platforms and products before handover to the operation teams.
- We optimize and tweak delivered tools and technical processes with focus on global harmonization, operation stability, efficiency, performance and compliancy.
- We closely collaborate with Audit, IT Risk, Engineering and Operations to improve compliancy, standardization and operability of all self-owned infrastructure and it's technical processes.
- We development of migration concepts with our peers across regions (CH, AMER, APAC, EMEA).
- We make use of your technical and communicational expertise.
- We provide subject matter expertise to our Level 2 support teams.

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge in Unix (Solaris 10) and Linux (RHEL 5, 6 and 7) is a must (7+ years of experience)
- Scripting skills (eg Perl or Shell Scripts) (7+ years of experience)
- Experience in a large and complex environment
- Profound understanding of operational and business requirements
- Foster knowledge in creation of high level IT concepts and in requirements engineering
- Interested in new technology
- Structured approach and joined-up thinking
- English is a must
- True team player capabilities
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Red Hat Satellite, Puppet or Saltstack knowledge - a big plus
- Experience in designing and optimization of IT processes (ITIL, Lean Management)
- German an advantage
