Experis IT Switzerland, a leading Swiss IT company is currently on the search for a Citrix and Virtual Desktop Administrator/Engineer to join one of their clients, a global and well renowned pharmaceutical company based in Basel.
For this temporary 1 Year assignment starting from 1st of December 2016 until the end of 2017 we are looking for an English speaking candidate who is available on a very short notice period.

Your responsibilities:
The Citrix and virtual desktop Administrator is responsible for the administration of the global production, test, and development Citrix and VDI environments. The role involves day-to-day operational activities including tier-3 support, health checking, troubleshooting, configuration maintenance, performance tuning, VDI image creation, and from time to time installation, configuration, migration and upgrade activities. As well as day to day tasks the role would include evaluating the technology stack and how it can serve our scientific and remote workers more effectively.
Your profile:
- 5 years' experience in administering enterprise scale Citrix environments
- Citrix XenApp 6.5, XenDesktop 5.6 and XenDesktop 7.9 environments
- Excellent knowledge of the physical and logical architectures associated with enterprise level Citrix installations
- Manage and troubleshoot virtual machine issues on VMWare ESXi 5.5
- Manage and troubleshoot machines on PVS 7.9
- Excellent PowerShell Scripting skills
- good understanding of XenApp 6.5 and XenDesktop 7.6 architecture
- able to support VDI issues built on Windows 7 and Windows 10
- Ability to develop and promote new ideas and solutions within the technology stack
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams
- Demonstrated productivity in complex organizations
- Excellent communication skills

- Wyse, VMWare Horizon, AWS DaaS, SharePoint
