Are you a software developer with strong experience in the IBM Mainframe environment (PL/1 and DB2)? Do you have knowledge in batch processing, SQL, XML, and MQ Series? Do you understand and are experienced with use case modelling? If so, this could be the perfect Solution Architect job for you.
A Lead Solution Architect is required for a contract position with a highly-regarded global financial client in Zürich, Switzerland. You will be working with a team responsible for an urgent compliance project. The team must develop new modules on the client's IBM Mainframe in order to gather required data and create regulatory reports. The Lead Solution Architect will coordinate the team of 4 to 6 software engineers and ensure project completion and solution implementation. This contract position is for six months with a high likelihood of extension into 2018.
Excellent technical skills and a collaborative approach are needed. At least five years of experience as PL/1 and DB2 software developer is essential. Knowledge of batch-processing, SQL, XML, and MQ Series is required. Good knowledge of use case modelling (UML) and Enterprise Architect 9.x is also needed. Project management experience and Java development experience are very helpful. As the team works in English, fluent English is mandatory but German is good to have.
