Programmer wanted for one of our Vevey based clients in the food industry.
Your experience/skills:
- Master's degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, or strong equivalent experience along with solid experience in bioinformatics, including NGS sequencing, omics and clinical informatics
- Proficiency in Python and R on Unix platform and distributed computing as well as experience in statistical computing, machine learning and big data
- Working experience in databases, semantic web, web development beside experience with distributed computing and computational pipelines
- Self-motivated, ability to take initiative as well as excellent communication skills
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Creating data algorithms and specialized computer software to identify and classify components of a biological system, such as DNA and protein sequences
- Working together with other scientists and researchers to analyze data sets
- Using and developing state of the art bioinformatics pipelines to analyze and integrate data generated from many different omics platforms
