Developer with strong Core Java, Oracle Coherence and database skills wanted for our Bellinzona based client in the banking sector.
Your experience/skills:
- 5-7 years working experience in the field of Java and J2EE development
- Experience with Java frameworks, eg Spring and also OO design and programming.
- Some experience with enterprise architect
- Some Experience with Financial products - specifically FX and OTC derivatives products
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (mentoring experience is a plus)
- would be a plus: Experience with C++, low-latency, Server Side Java development, Oracle Coherence, JMS, Sybase ASE (15), JMX, source control (preferably Subversion), and knowledge of continuous integration environment (TeamCity) and Credit Risk.
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken,
Your tasks:
- Modifying existing software to correct errors or to improve its performance
- Analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design
- Coordinating system installation of software and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met
- Designing, developing and modifying software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
- Analyzing information to determine, recommend, and plan computer and peripheral specifications and layouts
- Mentoring developers in different locations
- Providing support, ticketing (probably about 30% workload).
