SharePoint Farm Administrator - Powershell
This a long term project opportunity for an experienced SP Farm Administrator to join a global organisation. The role will involve the management of SharePoint Farm and service applications and updating and upgrading SP 2013 Farms.
Your experience/skills:
- Expertise in SharePoint 2013
- SharePoint Search, SharePoint Migration and other tools
- Excellent Powershell skills
- Managing SharePoint App (add in) model and solid understanding of SharePoint end user features and services
- Proven experience in troubleshooting, performance tuning and administering SharePoint Farms (SharePoint 2007 and upwards), including multi-farm scenarios
- Strong understanding of supporting platforms and services (IIS, ADFS, SQL) along with Windows PowerShell, including the management of PS remoting
- Experience with SharePoint Content Deployment using PS and out of the box APIs, Kerberos and other authentication methods, implementing High Availability and Disaster Recovery Solutions, and Network Load Balancing
Your tasks:
- Managing of SharePoint On Premises Farms and their Service Application, as well as SharePoint Enterprise Search Services and the wider search corpus
- Promoting and demoting SharePoint Sites and related artefacts (eg Content Types) across environments
- Maintaining healthy Services via monitoring and reporting, the security of the Farm and its assets via best practice, auditing and governance
- Contributing to documentation of configuration, topologies, processes, practices and to the SharePoint team on Infrastructural best-practices and Architecture decisions
- Supporting peers in the team on the wider rollout of SharePoint, analysing and reporting on SharePoint usage and acting as an interface to Site Collection Managers
