Senior Solutions Architect (Big Data solutions) Basel - Pharmaceutical
Are you a senior Solutions Architect with proven experience with big data solutions and very strong experience with MS SQL Server such as relevant experience in Java development and looking for your next exciting project? If so, please have a look at the following details:
Experis IT Switzerland, a leading Swiss IT company is currently on the search for a senior Solutions Architect to join one of their clients, a global and well renowned pharmaceutical company based in Basel.
For this temporary assignment planned to start beginning of October until the end of the year with the opportunity of an extension (until the end of 2017), we are in search of an English and French speaking candidate (German will also be highly desired).
Project background:
The aim of the project is to adapt and port a running Big Data internal application into a customer facing SaaS prototype dealing with patient data. The key challenge will be to adapt the application to cope with demanding healthcare data hosting regulation (eg ASIP constraint of French ministry of health).
Performing in this role you as a Senior Solution Architect will have following tasks & responsibilities:
- Oversee deployment of existing application into another instance to be hosted in some niche-cloud providers infrastructure
- Project delivery (ie deliver a PoC by end of the year 2016 to demonstrate the capability to extend the current application with patient data in compliance with EU regulations)
Your profile:
- 3+ years of architecture involvement in customer facing Hadoop based Big Data solutions
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Cloudera, BigData Hadoop technologies (all of the following technologies are a must: Impala, Hive, Oozie, Sqoop)
- 8+ years' experience in MS SQL Server
- 3+ years' experience in Java development
- High level understating of Tableau Server management
- Strong leadership skills and proven track record of decision taking and escalations handling
- Security background in Internet facing solutions (ie penetration testing, Firewalls design, reverse proxys, SAML, VPNs etc.)
- CSV background plus experience in working with IT Quality
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Experience with patience-regulation data is an advantage
- French language skills is highly desired since the first country that it should be rollout-out to is France
- German language skills will be a big asset since it would be helpful for the second country it shall be rolled-out to
