Application Engineer PlanSource (JavaScript/OPX2 Script), Basel - Pharmaceutical
Are you an application engineer/programmer with proven experience in PlanSource application development such as with programming in Java and OPX2 Script and currently looking for your next exciting project?

Experis IT Switzerland, a leading Swiss IT company is currently on the search for an IT Project and Application Manager to join one of their clients, a global and well renowned pharmaceutical company based in Basel.
For this temporary assignment planned to start in October until the end of the year with the opportunity of an extension (until June 2017), we are in search of an English speaking candidate.

Project background:
A developer is required to join a team of developers which will investigate, design, develop and test technical solutions for the existing high and medium priority backlog of PlanSource bugs.
Your responsibilities:
In this challenging role, your will be a key part of Virtual team providing PlanSource Application Software Development. In addition you will be responsible to work as a part of a small team working with the Agile (SCRUM) development methodology. Another main accountability will be to deliver fixes in weekly sprints. At least, the Application Engineer/Programmer will be fully responsible for analysis build, testing (incl. trouble-shooting) system and functional impact assessments.
Your profile:
- At least 5 years' experience as a programmer (ideally with JavaScript)
- 5 years' experience in OPX2 Script programming
- 3 years of development experience in working with Agile methodology (Scrum, kanban)
- 2-3 years' of PlanSource Application development experience
- Experience with .NET (COM programming, excel based reporting, excel automation, IIS and Web technologie), linux-Shell Scripts plus good system understanding (ie batches, crontabs, threads and minor administrative tools), SQL etc.
- Good tuning skills
- Strong experience with the following tools: SVN, JIRA, OPX2 Pro/ProWreb, nAnt etc.
- Very good knowledge of OPX2 Script language
- Excellent communication skills in English
- High proficiency in working virtually (as you will be working in a virtual development team of 2-6 developers, testers)
- Development experience within the Pharmaceutical environment will be highly desirable
- Design patterns (ie theoretical knowledge and practical implementations) is a plus
- LISP experience (not a must but will be a big asset)
