DWH Engineer wanted for one of our Zurich based clients in the banking sector.
Your experience/skills:
- Qualification in DWH Engineering along with 10+ years of working experience in building and maintaining database applications within an analytical environment
- Solid working experience in data analysis, IBM DB2, AIX operating system as well as in data loading and data transformation preferably in a restrictive professional environment
- Excellent knowledge with analytical systems along with problem-solving and synthesizing skills
- Expertise in coding Unix Shell to manipulate data on databases like DB2 along with in- depth knowledge of database technologies including SQL, ETL, data transformation, data loading, data mining
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Developing software components as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
- Performing unit tests and preparing components for integration into larger subsystems
- Coordinating with software component manager in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
- Handing over the produced code to the software component manager and making sure that it is secure, stable and operational
- Managing versions of software artifacts as well as participating in all phases of the development life cycle beside designing, documenting and maintaining innovative data warehouse applications
