For a short term project at our client, an international bank in Zurich, we are looking for an experiencedSenior DWH Engineer - Analytic Sourcing (4010)
In this role you’ll be working in the Delivery Unit Analytic Sourcing in Zürich. The role in this team is to participate in all phases of the development lifecycle and be responsible to design, document and maintain innovative data warehouse applications. You will work on a high-volume and high-performance strategic data warehouse platform based on a large IBM DB2 database.
Your Qualifications:
- 10+ years proven experience in building and maintaining database applications within an analytic environment
- Experience in data analysis
- In-depth knowledge with analytical systems
- In-depth knowledge with database technologies such as SQL, ETL, data transformation, data loading, data mining
- In-depth working experience with IBM DB2
- In-depth working experience with AIX operating system
- Experience in coding Unix Shell to manipulate data on databases like db2
- Experience in working in restrictive professional environment
- A guru of data loading and data transformation
- Comfortable working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Fluent in Englisch (oral/written)
About the role:
- Develop software components as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
- Test unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems
- Support the Software Component Manager in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
- Make sure that produced code is secure, stable and operational before handover to the Software Component Manager
- Manage versions of software artifacts
