Application Support Consultant

One of my global leading tech clients in Geneva, Switzerland is urgently seeking an Application Support Consultant for a long term contract paying excellent rates!

Application Support Consultant Key Skills

  • JAVA, UNIX and experience in production support of banking applications especially in the Wealth Management area
  • Experience in handling application support for L2 level.
  • Hands on experience in handling support and maintenance for JAVA based applications.
  • Exposure to UNIX Shell Scripting and ability to debug and analyse the logs for the UNIX batches.
  • Strong skills in UNIX commands and experience in handling server to server communication and debugging
  • Hands on experience in installation and configuration of monitoring tools like Geneos.
  • Exposure to Disaster recovery activities
  • An understanding of incident management within IT infrastructure organization.
  • A positive attitude, excellent customer-facing skills.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills as well as follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Experience in Incident management, Release management, Change management,
  • Problem management as per ITIL framework
  • Flexibility to work based on unforeseen project requirement
