For a short term project at our client site in Geneva, the French part of Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced

Project Manager/Business Process Analyst (3979)

In this role you will work with the process owner, subject matter experts and others as necessary to determine the as-is and to-be state of specific business processes. Use a variety of techniques to elicit information and identify pain points.

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager and Business Process Analyst documenting processes and seeing them used to drive added business value
  • Demonstrated professional experience working with medium to large scale cross-functional processes in a global or international context
  • Experience working within a project framework (Prince2 or PMI) and interacting closely with IT colleagues
  • Solid analytical skills with demonstrated ability to rapidly gather and consolidate information from multiple sources
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to produce documentation to a high standard
  • Comfort with IT processes for project management, change management and the system development life cycle. Able to converse freely on a range of application and data oriented technical topics
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teams in an international, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment working under different time-zones
  • Highly organized approach to activities, executes thoroughly under time pressure
  • High level of competence with MS Office and MS Visio
  • Familiarity with administrative and/or health data management business domains
  • Advanced degree in data management, business administration or similar

Your Responsibilities:

  • Understand and demonstrate through models how business processes align with business and corporate strategies and objectives
  • Provide input to the project business case by identifying current baseline and future target metrics, such as leading and lagging indicators, and linking to strategic key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Work to several levels of detail in order to properly represent specific activities. Note variants and rejection handling, input and output requirements, etc.
  • Address all process elements including goals, policies, business rules, roles, tasks and staffing and competencies. Recommend options to improve business processes (with or without technical solutions) prioritized using pareto optimization
  • Recommend appropriate BPM approaches for projects, particularly between build-to-last (stable, structured and fully automated) and build-to-change (dynamic, goal-oriented, case management, less structured and more social) approaches to change
  • Understand at a high level how implemented applications support business processes under consideration for change
  • Hand off process model and rule changes to the appropriate IT resource in a format suitable for building system changes. Alternatively, input these directly if provided with an agile and configurable business process management suite (BPMS).
  • As needed, support other IT colleagues throughout the solution assessment and implementation life cycle including:
    • preparation of RFP materials and the evaluation of proposals
    • feasibility studies, fit-gap analyses and developer briefings
    • development of training materials and user documentation
  • Draft SOP documentation for business processes
  • Prepare status reports, presentations, etc. relative to the work assigned
  • Contribute to the definition, development, implementation and maintenance of the business process improvement methodology to be employed. Collaborate with IT peers across related disciplines, particularly in Architecture, Development and BI
