DB2 Deployment Manager (Ref.PS2038)
Job Description:
DB2 Deployment Manager who provides DB2 database deployment support service for SSP applications which run on the z/OS Platform and ensure the deliveries of all DB2 application objects of the whole production-, test- and development environments.
Key Responsibilities:

DB Change Management service delivers instance specific DDL scripts packaged in ChangeMan ready to be deployed.

DB design service supports the application/projects in the definition of physical DB design and reviews physical DB models regarding DB performance.

SSP design and standards and installation support service assists Mainframe Deployment with DB2 specific knowhow during SW installation (IPM)
Requirements:
-
3+ years of Database administration experience in DB2 for z/OS

Experience in physical database design
-
Physical design skills for large databases including partitioning and index structures

Ability to understand the impact of application design on performance

Extensive background in database performance monitoring and tuning

Experience in supporting multiple large scale development, QA and production environments

Experience with stored procedures and temporary tables

Production support skills in a high availability environment

Strong customer service focus

Readiness for night- and weekend onsite-support (special activities)
