SOFTWARE TESTER/QA ENGINEER (JIRA, JAVA, XML, CONFLUENCE, JUNIT)
The contract is with a large organisation based in Brussels to be on assignment at a client site in Geneva. The client is looking for a Software Tester/QA Engineer to perform quality assurance and software testing activities for new and existing projects. Focus areas are on the manual testing of incremental releases and the development of regression test suites for existing critical production systems.
Tasks:
. review business requirements and transform into test scenarios/cases
. build regression test cases for manual testing
. assist users with acceptance testing
. perform functional testing
. test automation: build test harness for selected applications/batch processes
. make recommendations for test process optimisation and assist in the implementation of improvements
Deliverables:
. deliverable testing artifacts include: documented test cases, test data preparation scripts, test results, defect analysis reporting
. defect reports recorded in JIRA
Skills and experience:
. Manual testing: Integration, system regression and functional testing
. functional requirements analysis/review
. test case/scenarios preparation
. test design, planning and reporting
. test automation
. understanding of software development life cycle and quality assurance methodologies, best practices and processes
. experience in the implementation of effective software testing methodologies and tools.
