For a project at our client based in Geneva, we are looking for a

Software Tester/QA - Design, Planning and Reporting (3951)

The ideal candidate will review business requirements and transform them into test scenarios/cases.

Requirements:

- At least 5 years experience as a Software Tester
- Manual testing: Integration, system, regression and functional testing
- Functional requirements analysis/review
- Experience with Tests case/scenario’s preparation, Test design, planning and reporting and Test automation
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies, best practices and processes
- Experience in the implementation of effective software testing methodologies and tools
- Java, XML, junit / JIRA, Confluence
- Fluent in English, French is a big plus

Responsibilities:

- Build regression test cases for manual testing
- Assist users with acceptance testing
- Perform functional testing
- Test automation: build test harness for selected applications/batch processes
- Work with business/system owners to assist in the identification of regression test cases for critical systems/production batches
- Participate in functional requirement discussions
- Assist in the test planning and test preparation for major releases of selected projects
- Prepare test cases/script development
- Establish mechanisms for repeatable test execution of new regression suites
- Prepare test documentation, results and reports
- Record defects in JIRA and track to closure
- Identify test tools and suitable approaches for test automation
- Make recommendations for test process optimization and assist in the implementation of improvements
