Sharepoint Farm Administrator required, to work on a project within a major Bank in Switzerland.
Main Tasks:
- Management of SharePoint On Premises Farms and their Service Applications
- Management of SharePoint Enterprise Search Services and the wider search corpus
- Migration of content from Legacy systems
- Promotion and demotion of SharePoint Sites and related artefacts (eg Content Types) across environments
- Adhering and contributing to change management to maintain synchronisation across productive and non-productive environments
- Server maintenance (identification, impact analysis and scheduled deployment of patches; service packs, cumulative updates etc.)
- Maintaining healthy Services via monitoring and reporting
- Contributing to the SharePoint team on Infrastructural best-practices and Architecture decisions
- Supporting peers in the team on the wider rollout of SharePoint
- Acting as an interface to Site Collection Managers
- Maintain the security of the Farm and its assets, via best-practice, auditing and governance
- Contributing to documentation of configuration, topologies, processes, practices
- Analysing and reporting on SharePoint usage
Required skills:
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint 2013, its services and associated technologies (eg OneDrive for Business)
- Strong SharePoint Search experience
- Strong Windows PowerShell experience, including the management of PS remoting
- Proven experience in administering SharePoint Farms since SharePoint 2007, including multi-farm scenarios
- Proven experience with SharePoint Migration tools
- Experience with SharePoint Content Deployment using PS and out of the box APIs (experience with commercial tools is desirable)
- Experience with Kerberos and other authentication methods
- Experience with the management of the SharePoint App (Add-In) model
- Experience with implementing High-Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Experience with Network Load Balancing
- Experience with troubleshooting and performance tuning of SharePoint farms
- Solid understanding of supporting platforms and services, eg IIS, ADFS, SQL,
- Strong understanding of SharePoint end-user features and services
Desirable, but non-essential skills:
- Experience with Documentum
- Experience with Business Intelligence technologies for SharePoint
- Knowledge of SharePoint's Workflow Manager and the Windows Workflow Foundation
- Experience with rolling-out Workflow products
- Experience with Forms products
- Experience with Permission Management tools for SharePoint
Location: Basel - Switzerland
Duration: 6 months (evtl. option for extension)
