System Engineer (100%), Basel - Manufacturing & Laboratory
Are you a highly qualified System Engineer with experience in business processes in the manufacturing and laboratory environment and looking for an exciting new opportunity with a pharmaceutical company? If so, please have a look at the following details:
Experis IT Switzerland, a leading Swiss IT company is currently on the search for a System Engineer to join one of their clients, a global and well renowned pharmaceutical company based in Basel.
For this 1 year temporary assignment with the opportunity of an extension we are in search of an English and German speaking candidate who is available on the 1st of September the latest.

Your responsibilities:
In this challenging role, you will act as an IT Business Partner and work closely with customers (ie 2nd level support for laboratory systems etc.). In addition, as a System Engineer you will provide application management, support and ensure operational stability and effectiveness of several applications. Furthermore you will contribute to the core business and informatics processes and solutions by applying specific knowledge of systems and tools as well as problem solving skills to support these processes and solutions. At least, you as a key team member will maintain and develop process and technical knowledge and train others within the domain.
Your profile:
- 1 to 3 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry as well as in a regulated environment with Computer System (ie laboratory experience as a 2nd Level Supporter)
- 1 to 3 years' experience with business processes in the manufacturing and laboratory environment
- Validation experience with working in project environment and in informatics Service Support such as Service Delivery (ie experience with ITIL)
- Previous experience in system installation and maintenance of operations systems, hardware and peripherals device (eg bar code, scanner, printer etc.)
- Technical experience in manufacturing and laboratory systems
- Strong technical skills in different operating systems
- Experience with Windows server and Windows 7/XP
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in German and English
- Service oriented attitude
- GxP certification is considered as a plus
- CSV experience will be an advantage
- ITIL certification is big plus
