This role is for a Performance Test Engineer who will join highly skilled Specialist Testing team responsible for the conception, planning, execution, analysis and reporting of technical tests for applications and systems, including performance, scalability and stability tests.
The role is a (internal) customer-facing position and requires professional communication and stakeholder management skills.
The Performance Test Engineers assesses non-functional requirements for Software products and IT systems as well as system design and architectural specificiation in order to strategize appropriate technical tests. The planning and execution of such tests are main responsibility together with analysis and consulting on application/system run time behaviour. The Performance Test Engineer is responsible for technical QA of the products in scope.
- Senior JEE engineer with experience or interest in performance testing
- Some experience in C++ or C#
- 8+ years' experience in IT (development, architecture)
- An engineering mindset in terms of structured analysis of complex systems and problem approaching
- A high level of abstraction skills to create strategies and planning for technical tests of IT systems
- A recent hands-on knowledge for Java (Architecture, Design-Pattern, Run-time), C++ (or C#), Oracle (certified preferred)
- Hands-on experience with performance test tools, like JMeter, Loadrunner, or similar
- Any of the following skills in advantageous: Enterprise Monitoring, Database performance tuning, Distributed Caches (like coherence), BigData, Linux/Unix system tuning, Windows performance tuning, Mobile technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English is essential
