The Senior SAP Solution Architect, ALPIN 2.0 joins a team of talented, creative, and motivated Systems Analysts, Solution Architects, Project and People Managers, who work on the ALPIN 2.0 project within Pharma Informatics ERP Demand-to-Supply organization (there are 7-8 people the candidate will work closely with). We are looking for someone that can join the team ASAP in July/beginning of August to help shaping System Design definition + drive Prototype activities in our European Regional SAP ERP system.
The ALPIN 2.0 project is about to redefine the operating model related to Artworks (printed packaging materials - ie patient information leaflet that can be found in the drug package). Managing high number of artwork changes of Drug Products through supply chain is a complex process which shall be simplified by the project. It is planned to be achieved via process simplification and interlinked best-in-class informatics infrastructure to make the systems, involved in the processes, more user-friendly and to enable an increased throughput of artworks changes. The project is currently in the Scoping phase and is about to ramp up rapidly in the Informatics side.
The position reports functionally to the IT Project Manager.
* Remote: 1 day per week (prior to agreement)
* Team: Project team around 7-8 people
* Travelling: 10%, mainly to Latin America (Sao Paulo), USA (San Francisco) and Poland
Key responsibilities:
* Drive ERP System Design activities based on user requirements and draft process map via collaborating with the Solution Architects of the four Regional ERPs (Europe/LATAM/APAC/NA) by translate business needs into applicable functional specification(s).
* Conduct several WSs with the business/IT SMEs (ie Design Review; Solution Review sessions)
* Collaborate with other teams - ie with SAP APO/SAP BPM Solution Architects - to understand the impact to these systems.
* Drive Prototype activities in the European's- and LATAM's ERP System to validate the proposed Design
* Drive the Solution Build activities based on defined Design via collaborating with the Solution Architects/Developers of the four Regional ERPs (Europe/LATAM/APAC/NA) by following a "develop once - implement many" concept.
* Define potential Data Migration/preparation requirements
* Define cut-over activities to ensure successful deployment of solution into Productive Systems.
* The candidate has experience working in a multi-cultural, global (non co-located) work teams.
For this position, the candidate brings the following qualifications:
* 9 - 14 years of SAP SCM (Supply Chain Management)
* SAP solution Architect knowledge, able to define solutions and support other SAP specialists in the implementation (able to define the best architecture possible)
* Detailed knowledge of supply chain processes required
* Expert in SAP PP/PI and MM modules
* Experience as a consultant, functional expert, or similar role highly desirable
* Experience conducting large-scale requirements and design sessions with business process owners
* Experience managing demanding customer needs
* Must be a self-starter, results-oriented and have a track record of timely, high-quality deliverable
* Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other validated environment is a must
* Speaking and writing fluently in English is a must,
* Experience with SAP APO is nice to have
* Experience working in the ForWard SAP ECC system
MUST HAVES:
. SAP ERP SCM (Supply Chain Management) extended knowledge
. Experience conducting large-scale requirements and design sessions with business process owners
. Business Process analysis and consulting
. Location is Basel on-site
NICE TO HAVES:
. Experience with SAP APO is nice to have
. Experience working in the ForWard SAP ECC system
. German skills are a plus
