For our banking client in Zurich, we are looking for a Technical Account Manager - Solution Integration

Start: ASAP

Duration: 12 months

Location: Zurich

The Systems Integration Consultant will be responsible for applying company's IT strategy in the provision of technical effort and coordination of issues and projects primarily involving server, database and presentation layer technologies, and working closely with the other team members to understand all infrastructure components of a system. The consultant should be a recognized expert in Linux and Windows, Intel based hardware and associated software technologies including enterprise scale systems, as well as possess an interest in improving their understanding of other technical areas; strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills are essential.

The role is an excellent opportunity to work alongside business and development managers across the Firm, to add value to the portfolio of business applications at the company and to play a key part in the

Design and rollout of future infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of all Technology Infrastructure Services product offerings and how to choose the most appropriate solution to match the client requirements
  • Confidently propose and discuss the architectural and solution options, recommendations and implications to the partner base
  • Produce detailed design documents including cost estimates which pass internal and external review without changes being requested
  • Work with the provisioning team to ensure infrastructure is built correctly first time
  • Assist senior staff in discovery of requirements and infrastructure utilization required for large projects or environment reviews.
  • Contribute to the global team and assist in delivering on initiatives and strategy
  • Mature the SI consulting service offering in region and globally

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience of an Oracle Database Server technologies and components including clustering, replication, backups and monitoring.
  • Additional database at advanced level (MS SQL or Sybase preferred)
  • Experience with hardware server technologies, particularly HP Proliant blades and rack-mounted Servers. Sun/Oracle experience is desirable as well.
  • Experience with other Enterprise Database technologies (Sybase, MS SQL Server)
  • Experience of SAN/NAS technologies and storage replication
  • Experience of enterprise scale application DR and HA
  • Knowledge of capacity planning and utilization techniques
  • Knowledge of operating systems (UNIX, Linux, Windows)
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, ESX, Citrix
  • Educational qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related disciplines is preferred
  • Excellent communications skills including presentation experience up to minimum N3 audience
  • Previous experience in infrastructure delivery process is an advantage
